When climbing through these woods, a large church suddenly appears which, according to some, was the place where the Order gathered in June of 1223 to discuss the new Rule, later approved by Pope Honorius III with the bull Solet Annuere. The church was donated to Saint Francis by Jacopo Bigazzini, the lord of Coccorano castle.
