Le Mandrie di San Paolo is an antique cottage, at the top of the Assisi’s hills in a panoramic spot among olive trees and stunning forest. It was built in the 11th century by the abbey of San Benedetto in order to control its agricultural land. After the unification of Italy, the ecclesiastical orders sold some of their properties, so Le Mandrie di San Paolo became a private farmhouse.
Over the last few centuries these buildings hosted many families from Assisi, but, when the growing economic and industrial development led people away from the countryside, they were abandoned. During the 90′s these buildings were integrated into the farm and slowly restored until 2000 when a new story has started. Now Le Mandrie di San Paolo are ready to welcome its guests in its villas with swimming pool, spa and restaurant.
