The period residence lies in the green heart of Italy, in Montefranco, Umbria.It is a residence of 1700, completely refurbished, able to guarantee total relax, privacy and comfort. From a high slope covered in olive trees, it looks down on the village of Arrone and all the villages of Valnerina Ternana a stone’s throw from the Marmore Falls and its park.

The E45 highway on the other side of the hill provides access to Rome, Perugia, Spoleto, Todi, Assisi, Spello, and Gubbio that you can visit either by yourself or with our guides. You can choose from five rooms with bathroom, situated in a large park with a swimming-pool. The whole property is a part of the Varcone Alto farm, where we produce extra virgin olive oil.

La Francescana

La Francescana is a vintage cycling event that will take place in Umbria next 19 and 20 of September 2015. The race starts and end in Foligno, the town where, in 1206, St. Francis began his spiritual adventure. In the main square he sold his fabrics and the horse to collect money and restore the small church of San Damiano in Assisi. La Francescana runs through some of the most beautiful streets of the Umbra Valley, far from moder traffic, touching Spello, Assisi, Cannara, Montefalco, Bevagna, Trevi and back to Foligno.

The hamlet of Giomici is found in the earldom of Giomici just 2 kilometres from the border with the Duchy of Urbino. An ancient stone building thet dates from the 1700s can be seen in the centre of a vast hilly agricultural area. This large building, in typical Umbrian rural architecture, was built to incorporate an ancient watch tower and is found on the medieval road that originates from Assisi and makes its way to Gubbio along the river Chiascio. St. Francis used this rout many times.
